Text: 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV)
Topic: Understanding Your Times and Seasons — Part 1
"And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had an understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment." — 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV)
Walking in tandem with God's preordained times and seasons is crucial and central to what goes on in our lives as His dear children.
When we fail to understand what our times and seasons are, we suffer untold hardships because we allow people and circumstances to lead us into error.
Knowing your time and season is everything in life. You have to understand it, and whatever you must do to understand it must be done. Why do we fail to understand this principle spiritually, yet know it physically — even though we ironically say that the spiritual controls the physical without truly knowing the implications of what we are saying? May God forgive us for our lack of understanding.
Take a look at the clock in the natural world. We know what time it is and we plan our daily activities accordingly. But when it comes to knowing what time it is spiritually, we fail to understand — which is why so many of us are suffering for our lack of knowledge and understanding.
Nothing is more important than knowing your time spiritually. This is why many people go to the prophets, because they presume the prophets know — and there is nothing wrong with doing that. But you should understand that not all men of God are gifted like the sons of Issachar.
