The Power of Revelation

By Bishop Samson Amajene

Today's Thoughts — Understanding Your Times and Seasons Series

Monday, September 11, 2023  ·  By Bishop Samson Amajene

Text: 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV)

Topic: The Power of Revelation

"And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had an understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment." — 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV)

Issachar is one of the twelve tribes of Israel in Bible times that made up the people of Israel, who later became the Jewish people. The men of Issachar were blessed with spiritual gifts, insight, and understanding of the times and seasons Israel should walk in.

They became the mouthpiece for God and Israel by giving advice, direction, and guidance based on the present reality on the ground. When you are gifted in the revelation anointing — with the ability to see into the future about things to come — you become a leader automatically.

Every family, community, and company needs someone who can give spiritual direction with insight into the realm of the Spirit, operating in the word of knowledge, the word of wisdom, discernment, and interpretation of tongues.

May we not live in spiritual blindness, because a great many things will go wrong when there is no one with such a gift among us. As children of God, you and I are expected to walk in the Holy Spirit.

We can become another Issachar generation of priests and prophets today. If this was possible in the Old Testament, how much more in the New Testament, which carries better promises — promises we can take hold of in prayer to do great exploits for God and His people. The two hundred leaders of Issachar, together with their brethren, had the whole nation taking instructions from them, because revelation has the power to control situations and circumstances.

Eternal Father, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to assist us in our walk with You. Lord, please open our eyes of understanding and help us not to be spiritually blind. Raise another Issachar generation today, in Jesus' name. Amen.
