Text: Isaiah 64:8 (NLT)
Topic: The Potter and the Clay
"And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand." — Isaiah 64:8 (NLT)
When God is taking you through the process, care must be taken not to truncate the procedure. You must be willing to allow the steps to go through their logical conclusion. Otherwise, it is a waste of time and resources, and you lose the blessing when you refuse to allow the process to shape you through impatience, self-will, and disobedience.
The Creator's perfect will is for you to go through His ordained path, but sadly many of us want to go our own way because we are afraid to endure the pain of pruning that will result in blessing and empowerment. This is a matter of timing and season, and there is no amount of prayer that can change this — it is bound to happen, since the One who declares the end from the beginning is involved. To be candid, the process is not always easy; sometimes it is very difficult and rigorous. But if we sincerely yield our hearts and wills in humility and total submission to the will of God, we shall come forth shining like stars — polished and groomed for the Master's use.
When God is taking you through the process, sometimes we might say it is the devil or witches that are after us, and the flesh might be crying out for help too. Please do not give up — just tarry in His presence until the work is done. I am a divine project, not to be abandoned. I have a contract with my God; He never abandons me until He finishes His work in my life. The ultimate outcome of the process is to make you a shining superstar, a testimony for all to see His goodness — so we cannot afford to fail.
Heavenly Father, though the process may be long and tough, may I never bow to the pressure from Satan and sin. Lord, keep me standing in Your grace, in Jesus' name. Amen.
