The Bitter Truth

Text: John 8:32 (KJV)

Topic: The Bitter Truth

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." — John 8:32 (KJV)

Dear Beloved,

The freedom to worship God and live according to His Word, His will, and His plans for our lives cannot be overemphasized. Truth is a liberator — and until you know the truth, you cannot be completely free in your inner man to connect with the Lord.

Truth is a deliverer that inherently leads to freedom, yet we often view deliverance solely through the lens of being freed from demon possession. It is crucial to recognize that truth itself is a critical aspect of deliverance. The act of telling the truth sets you free naturally.

If we have been wrongfully taught or indoctrinated with false theories or heresies, it is only through teaching the right doctrines truthfully that one can be set free. This is not about relative truth — but the absolute truth about knowing who you are in Christ.

Until you know who you are, you cannot speak freely or exercise your fundamental human rights as enshrined in the Word of God. To live a fulfilling life, you must know the truth about your identity in Christ. Failure to understand your capabilities and capacities will keep you bound to falsehood and limit your potential.

The bitter truth is that until you discover who you are in the Lord, you will remain at the mercy of others for your failures — and may not be bold enough to bring positive change to the world around you. It is only by critically analyzing your behavior, character, and lifestyle and aligning them with God's Word that you can unveil the clarity needed to understand your true self.

"Lord, help me discover who I am in You, so I can be a light to the world around me. In Jesus' name. Amen."
