Topic: One Kingdom, Two Different Experiences

"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." — Ephesians 4:4–6 (NIV)

It is essential for us to recognize that we are one body composed of different members within one Kingdom, ruled by the King of kings. Until we embrace this truth, divisions and differences will persist among us.

A denominational mindset reflects the immaturity of believers. The Spirit of God that resides in me is meant to be the same Spirit that dwells in you. However, this is often not the case — and the answer lies in our failure to adopt a Kingdom-minded perspective.

Believers who are truly Kingdom-minded do not let denominational differences hinder their ability to minister to one another. In my previous experiences, I held the belief that if someone did not belong to my denomination, their experience in Christ was somehow less authentic. However, I have since learned that once one confesses faith in Christ, they are welcomed into the Kingdom of God — regardless of their denominational affiliation. This acceptance stems from the understanding that it is God's Kingdom that truly matters, not the individual denominations or churches we may be attempting to establish.

We share one hope of being called children of God, serving the same Lord together in unity through the Holy Spirit.

"Lord, deliver me from a denominational mindset and fill me with a Kingdom perspective. Help me to recognize Your Spirit in every true believer and to minister in unity with all who confess Christ as Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen."
