Faith for Miracles — Introduction

Beloved in Christ, we are most privileged to be part of those who made it to the New Year 2023. A friend of mine told me that five people died in the hospital where he works between December 31st and January 1st of this year. Brethren, the subject of miracles is why we are called believers — we believe that God will make a way when we come to a crossroad and do not know what to do or where to turn.

Simply defined, a miracle is God's imposition of His will and power through our faith when we believe, causing changes in the natural world beyond our comprehension and imagination. When we read through the Bible, we see how God effects changes in the real world through His mighty power. Those miracles are recorded in the Bible so we can understand and believe God for our miracles today, in whatever circumstances we find ourselves. Miracles are also God's divine intervention in our lives to prove to us that He is the Lord and that His power is unlimited.

Today, in this introductory message, I will do my best to present it in a manner that will inspire us to believe God for your miracle, no matter the circumstances or situation you are in at the moment. Beloved, to experience miracles and the miraculous in your life today, you should exercise your faith — which is the currency of the Kingdom of Heaven. The battle to believe God for your miracles is the biggest battle ever, for without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6).

To help us understand this message, let me show you some instances of miracles in the Bible and apply them to your daily living. Please take time to read the Scriptures and see the mighty hand of God in operation through His chosen vessels.

1. 1. Rod Made Serpent — Exodus 4:1–5

   The reason for this miracle was to show God's power in convincing Israel to believe that God had appeared to Moses and chosen him to be their leader. Until people see genuine miracles in your life as His servant, they will not take you seriously — you need miracles.

2. 2. Red Sea Divided — Exodus 14:21

   This miracle shows the mighty power of God superimposed on nature, altering it to what He desired. Beloved, whatever represents the Red Sea in your life shall part ways this year 2023 in Jesus' name. Let me assure you — nothing is impossible with God. He will crush the enemy on your behalf when it pleases Him to do so.

3. 3. Enemies Overwhelmed — Exodus 14:26–29

   I see the waters of God's judgment coming upon your avowed enemies that have caused you pain — this year in Jesus' name.

4. 4. Water Sweetened — Exodus 15:25

   God will turn every bitter experience to sweetness in every aspect of your life this year in Jesus' name.

5. 5. Blossoming Rod — Numbers 17:8

   In the contest between you and your opponent, I see God making your rod blossom to the admiration of all. You shall not be last in Jesus' name.

6. 6. Water From the Rock — Numbers 20:11

   God is about to bring you honey from the Rock. That project you think is beyond your capabilities shall come through for you in Jesus' name. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. The Lord sees all the pain you are going through, and He is going to bring you out of it in the name of the Lord.

7. 7. Lion and Philistines Slain — Judges 14:6, 19

   The Lord shall empower you to destroy the enemy. Every lion roaring in your life shall be put to silence in Jesus' name.

8. 8. Meal and Oil Supplied — 1 Kings 17:14

   God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

9. 9. Healing — 2 Kings 5:10

   The power of God is bringing you healing in your spirit, soul, mind, and body miraculously in Jesus' name.
