Topic: Indicators That You Are God's Own

"Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus, who died — more than that, who was raised to life — is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." — Romans 8:33–34 (NIV)

Bishop Samson Amajene emphasized the profound truth found in these scriptures, urging believers not to be swayed by any attempts from the enemy to malign, accuse, or persecute them. As children of God, we must understand our divine identity and assurance. God has chosen and ordained us as His own since the foundation of the world.

The Bishop acknowledged a common misconception among believers: that upon accepting Christ as their Lord and personal Savior, they would be free from persecution or animosity. Unfortunately, this is not always the case — often, the hurtful actions and words come not just from the world, but sometimes from within the Church itself, where one might expect support and understanding as part of the same family in Christ.

Referencing Isaiah 54:17, Bishop Amajene declared: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn." He reminded us that this promise stands as the heritage of the servants of the Lord — their righteousness is rooted in God Himself. Unless one is guilty of the accusations leveled against them, no mortal has the authority to bring charges when the Lord has not ordained it.

With a touch of humor, the Bishop pointed out that many individuals may speak ill of you with the intention of tarnishing your reputation to gain favor with those in positions of authority. Such actions stem from their own dislike for you — but they often forget a crucial truth: you are the Lord's chosen, and thus cannot be held accountable or judged in any spiritual or physical court.

In conclusion, Bishop Amajene proclaimed with conviction that all their plots are rendered ineffective — because you have been discharged and acquitted from all condemnation by the Chief Justice of the universe: our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
