Text: Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
Topic: How to Wait for Your Blessings
"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
Because waiting for anything substantial in this digital age is not easy, many of us have taken divine laws into our own hands by doing things that are unacceptable in the Kingdom. Many Christians have lost their miracles and blessings because they could not wait one more day, one more week, one more month, or one more year. Truly, it is not easy to wait — but we can successfully do it in the Lord Jesus Christ, our strength and enabler, in spite of the pain we endure in the process.
Waiting is not in vain. It pays to wait for something worth waiting for — the end of a thing is better than the beginning. A building is not admired at the foundation-laying ceremony, but when it is finished and painted, you appreciate its beauty. This is how patience works in our lives. All the health, miracles, blessings, favors, help, and graces are like a building designed by the Divine Architect, ready to be launched for His operation and glory.
Whenever moments of impatience set in — making you uncomfortable, worried, and stressed — know that God is about to birth a breakthrough, a miracle, or a promotion, and the end of the pain is at hand. At such times, sensitivity is needed so that we can maximize the moment and not lose the blessing, peace, and mercies of the Lord. The devil is usually unhappy when you make up your mind to wait for God to come through for you. This is why you must be very sensitive in that moment, because he will do anything to make you lose focus and thereby rob you of the blessing.
Lord, grant me the grace to wait patiently for Your perfect timing, trusting that You are working all things together for my good, in Jesus' name. Amen.
