Topic: How to Have a Vision

"Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." — Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

"And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." — Habakkuk 2:2–3 (KJV)

Vision is so important in anything you want to do in life — without it, you will be driven to and fro without any direction, making success very difficult to attain. Vision is the key to progress, increase, and the fulfillment of your destiny. Everything you see around you is a product of vision. And by the way — what is your own vision?

To succeed, you must grasp the vision of where you are going and do everything you can to bring it to fruition. You must make the vision very clear by writing it down in plain language, so that anyone who reads it can understand and run with it. You need to ask yourself some honest questions: Where am I going? What do I really want to achieve in life? Where am I in the process?

Many of us always look at vision as something extraordinary, but in actual fact it is a plan, an idea, a revelation, or a dream given to you by grace — one that has taken root in your spirit. It is a misery to live without vision as a youth, because when you grow older, the blame game sets in, since you were leaving everything to chance. Vision is what fills the vacuum, the vagueness, and the emptiness we feel inside.

When you have a vision, your focus is directed at something specific and not scattered across everything. And the vision is not about you — it is about God and the people you are called to reach. We offend God and man when all we do and talk about is only our family, our business, our ministry, our community, while failing to reach people of other cultures and countries — especially now that the world has become a global village.

My vision is fulfilling every day because my burden is to reach the world for Jesus Christ — people in every continent of the earth. Sometimes your family, community, or friends may not believe in you, just as they did not believe in Jesus Christ. But if it is God who calls you, they will be surprised when He starts opening doors of ministry, doing exploits in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Oh Lord my God, please prove wrong those who despise Your calling and grace in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen.
