God Is My Source

By Bishop Samson Amajene

Today's Thoughts

Wednesday, June 12, 2024  ·  By Bishop Samson Amajene

Texts: 1 Chronicles 29:12; Philippians 4:19; Psalm 16:6; Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Topic: God Is My Source

"Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all." — 1 Chronicles 29:12 (NIV)
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

Reflecting on his journey, Bishop Samson confidently affirmed that God is his source — unfailing in meeting all his needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. He emphasized that failing to acknowledge the Lord as the true source of blessings signifies a lack of knowledge and understanding for a believer in Christ.

Recognizing God as the ultimate source of enduring wealth and riches enables us to trust Him for daily provision, instead of seeking help from fallible human sources. Bishop Samson highlighted God's ability to elevate individuals to higher levels by His grace — and once elevated, nothing can bring them down.

Quoting Psalm 16:6 — "The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage" — he encouraged those feeling needy to understand that their time for glory is yet to come, with the full manifestation of blessings still awaiting them.

Bishop Samson reiterated God's intentions for His children to prosper and thrive, emphasizing that poverty contradicts the abundant opportunities available within His Kingdom. Citing Jeremiah 29:11 — "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" — he drew a parallel between God's abundant provision and our personal responsibility in seizing the opportunities He places before us.

He highlighted the importance of placing faith in God as the ultimate source of all provision, and sought divine assistance in not relying on human beings for needs — while committing to daily service in His Kingdom.
