Today's Thoughts — Obedience Series
Thursday, August 22, 2024 · By Bishop Samson Amajene
Text: Psalm 91:1–2 (KJV)
Topic: Divine Protection
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust." — Psalm 91:1–2 (KJV)
Bishop Samson Amajene remarked that as the year draws to a close, many people — including Christians — tend to experience anxiety and fear regarding the approaching months of September, October, November, and December. However, he reassured the congregation that there is absolutely nothing to fear, worry about, or stress over, as God has promised to protect and preserve us, as highlighted in Psalms 34:7, 91:1, and 125:2.
Bishop Amajene emphasized the comfort we find as the redeemed of the Lord — stating that we are secured in Christ, the Secret Place, where He spreads His wings over us to shield us from dangers. He declared, by the authority of the Lord, that our dwelling places shall be filled with the presence of the Most High, in Jesus' mighty name.
He proclaimed that no evil would befall anyone as they journey through the remaining months of the year — asserting that these months would be times of joy and celebration for families, affirming the truth that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Declarations Over Every Family
- Peace, joy, blessings, protection, and safety — in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Health, life, strength, abundance, and the glory of the Lord upon everyone.
- God's special army arising to battle on behalf of each individual, dismantling every evil plan of the enemy — in Jesus' mighty name.
Furthermore, Bishop Amajene encouraged the congregation to allow the love of Christ to reign in their hearts and families. He assured them that whenever they call upon the name of Jesus, they shall be answered with fire — affirming the promise of longevity to fulfill their dreams and visions in Jesus' name.
"Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress. I trust in You completely. Let Your presence fill my home and shield my family from every danger, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen."
