Day 9: Family, Friends & Relationships

Introduction

Family and relationships are God's divine design for love, support, and growth. When families and friendships are rooted in Christ, they become channels of peace, strength, and destiny fulfilment. Today, as we fast and pray, we seek God's hand to unite, protect, and bless every relationship connected to our lives.

"Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." — Psalm 127:1 (KJV)

Prayer Points with Scriptures

1. 1. Lasting Friendships

   Heavenly Father, help me to build lasting friendships and relationships that will endure the test of time, in Jesus' name.

   "A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." — Proverbs 17:17

   "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up." — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10

2. 2. Cutting Away Unfriendly Friends

   Eternal Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, cut away every unfriendly friend from my life and family, in Jesus' name.

   "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful." — Psalm 1:1

   "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed." — Proverbs 13:20

3. 3. Authority Over Household Wickedness

   Father God, I take authority over every household wickedness planning evil against me, in Jesus' name.

   "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." — Ephesians 6:12

   "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord." — Isaiah 54:17

4. 4. Destiny-Helpers and Godly Friends

   Everlasting Father, send destiny-helpers and godly friends into my life and family, in Jesus' name.

   "And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul." — 1 Samuel 18:1–3

   "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend." — Proverbs 27:17

5. 5. Scattering Powers of Disunity

   Glorious God, scatter every power that wants to disunite my family and friends, in Jesus' name.

   "Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." — Matthew 19:6

   "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore." — Psalm 133:1–3

6. 6. Preservation in 2026 and Beyond

   Abba Father, as You kept my family and friends in past years, please preserve us in 2026 and beyond, in Jesus' name.

   "The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore." — Psalm 121:7–8

   "And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you." — Isaiah 46:4

7. 7. Grace, Love, and Peace in Relationships

   God of all Grace, let Your grace, love, and peace abide in my family and friendships, in Jesus' name.

   "Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you." — 2 Corinthians 13:11

   "And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." — Colossians 3:14–15

8. 8. Declaring Glory Over Family and Friends

   Lord God, I declare Your glory and praise over every member of my family and friends, in Jesus' name.

   "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee." — Isaiah 60:1–2

   "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together." — Psalm 34:1–3

9. 9. Protection from Evil

   Heavenly Father, by Your power, no evil shall befall any member of my family, relations, or friends, in Jesus' name.

   "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." — Psalm 91:10–11

   "There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief." — Proverbs 12:21

10. 10. Eternal Life for Family and Friends

    Abba Father, I decree that no member of my family, relations, or friends shall perish but have eternal life, in Jesus' name.

    "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." — John 3:16

    "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." — Acts 16:31

11. 11. Exposing Hidden Enemies

    Heavenly Father, expose every hidden enemy or deceitful person around me, in Jesus' name.

    "For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad." — Luke 8:17

    "He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death." — Job 12:22

12. 12. God's Faithful Presence

    Lord God, do not leave nor forsake us as we enter 2026 and beyond, in Jesus' name.

    "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." — Deuteronomy 31:6

    "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." — Hebrews 13:5

13. 13. God's Plans for Family and Friends

    Father God, let Your great plans for my family and friends come to pass in 2026 and beyond, in Jesus' name.

    "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." — Jeremiah 29:11

14. 14. Unity and Breaking Division

    Father Lord, unite every member of my family and break down every wall of division, in Jesus' name.

    "Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." — Ephesians 4:3

    "Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness." — Colossians 3:13–14

15. 15. Signs and Wonders

    Heavenly Father, my family, relations, and friends are for signs and wonders, in Jesus' name.

    "Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion." — Isaiah 8:18

    "But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." — Daniel 11:32

16. 16. Shining as Lights in the Community

    Father, make my family, relations, and friends shine as lights in our community, in Jesus' name.

    "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." — Matthew 5:14–16

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of family and friendship. I declare that every relationship in my life is covered by Your blood, guided by Your Spirit, and blessed by Your hand. Let unity, love, and peace reign in every home and heart connected to me. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen and Amen.
