By Bishop Samson Amajene

Grace Gospel Church — Breakthrough Fasting & Prayers for 2026

Saturday, January 10, 2026  ·  Day 10: Assignment

Day 10: Assignment

Introduction

Every believer has a divine calling and purpose — an assignment given by God before birth. This day's prayers are designed to help you recognise, embrace, and fulfil that assignment with divine power, faith, and integrity. Each prayer point is supported by Scripture to strengthen your faith and align your heart with God's Word.

Prayer Points

  1. 1. Ordained Before Birth

Heavenly Father, before I was born, You ordained, assigned, and separated me from my mother's womb to be Your servant to the nations — to bring liberty and joy to the world, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." — Jeremiah 1:5

  2. 2. Empowered for the Assignment

Lord God, empower me with strength and courage to carry out Your divine assignment in my life, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you." — Luke 10:19

  3. 3. Anointed to Speak the Word

Lord Jesus Christ, put Your word in my mouth and anoint me to speak it with power, bringing souls into Your Kingdom, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, 'I have put my words in your mouth.'" — Jeremiah 1:9

  4. 4. Faithful to the Great Commission

Eternal Father, You have assigned me to go into the world and preach the good news of the Kingdom. Help me not to disappoint You, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." — John 20:21

  5. 5. Baptised with the Holy Spirit

Eternal Father, baptise me afresh with the Holy Spirit and power to fulfil my divine assignment, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses." — Acts 1:8

  6. 6. Send Labourers into the Harvest

Lord of the Harvest, send labourers into Your vineyard. The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." — Luke 10:2

  7. 7. Purity in Ministry

Heavenly Father, keep our ministries from pollution and falsehood. Help us remain steadfast in the faith, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." — Matthew 7:15–16

  8. 8. Heavenly Focus

Eternal Father, help us to be heavenly-minded and not earthly-focused in these last days, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." — Colossians 3:1–2

  9. 9. Faith to Please God

Glorious Father, help us develop faith in You and in Your Word so we can please You and fulfil our assignment, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Without faith it is impossible to please God." — Hebrews 11:6

  10. 10. Signs and Wonders in Ministry

Father God, let miracles, signs, and wonders follow my ministry so that people may believe the Word I preach, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "And these signs will accompany those who believe…" — Mark 16:17–18

  11. 11. Strengthened Prayer Life

Eternal Father, help me to develop a strong prayer and devotional life so I may continually experience the flow of Your anointing, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." — James 5:16

  12. 12. Faithfulness to the Word

Everlasting Father, help us to remain faithful to Your Word and not be carried away by false teachings, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season." — 2 Timothy 4:2–4

  13. 13. Growth in Ministry

Lord God, let our ministries experience spiritual, numerical, and developmental growth in all areas, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Those who accepted his message were baptised, and about three thousand were added to their number that day." — Acts 2:41, 47

  14. 14. Freedom from Covetousness

Heavenly Father, help us to serve You without greed or lust for gain, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "For the love of money is the root of all evil." — 1 Timothy 6:10

  15. 15. Love and Compassion

Heavenly Father, help me to love and care for people selflessly, just as Jesus did, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil." — Acts 10:38

  16. 16. Serving with Agape Love

Eternal Father, help me to serve others sincerely and meet their needs with agape love, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Let us not become weary in doing good… as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people." — Galatians 6:9–10

  17. 17. Overcoming Opposition

Glorious Father, help me overcome every challenge and opposition that comes against my divine assignment, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry." — 2 Timothy 4:5

  18. 18. Courage to Preach the Truth

Eternal Father, grant me courage, inspiration, and faith to preach Your truth boldly in all seasons, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season." — 2 Timothy 4:2

  19. 19. Preaching the Full Gospel

Gracious Father, help me to preach the complete gospel of Christ without compromise, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God." — Acts 20:27

  20. 20. Godly Character and Conduct

Lord Jesus Christ, let my life, family, and character reflect Your holiness, both in public and private, in Jesus' name.

Scripture: "Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach." — 1 Timothy 3:1–2
