Accelerating My Season Through Dedicated Service

By Bishop Samson Amajene

Today's Thoughts — Ministering Series

Wednesday, July 31, 2024  ·  By Bishop Samson Amajene

Text: Psalm 102:13–16 (KJV)

Topic: Accelerating My Season Through Dedicated Service

"Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory." — Psalm 102:13–16 (KJV)

Bishop Samson Amajene delved into the theme of accelerating one's season through dedicated service, drawing insights from Psalm 102:13–16, which emphasizes the divine timing of favor upon Zion and the corresponding manifestation of God's glory.

Bishop Amajene shed light on the symbiotic relationship between favor and devoted service to God's Kingdom and His people, underscoring the need for a genuine interest in advancing His purposes. He challenged listeners to ponder why God would bestow His grace, favor, and resources upon those indifferent to His Kingdom and people — labeling such indifference as a misuse of divine provisions.

Central to the message was the idea that one's time and season are activated when genuine seekers diligently pursue God, avoiding comparisons with fellow believers on different paths. By engaging in service driven by love, devotion, and zeal, individuals can propel themselves toward the fulfillment of their divine destinies without hesitation.

The concept of "taking pleasure in her stones" symbolizes the restoration and rebuilding of communities and souls in service to the Lord — highlighting the importance of demonstrating love for God through tangible actions that benefit His Kingdom.

Bishop Amajene urged listeners to expand their life's purpose beyond personal gratification, extending care and concern to others in alignment with God's will. He emphasized the joy found in participating in Kingdom advancement efforts and the profound impact of spreading the message of Christ's love to the world.

Furthermore, the discussion emphasized the role of ministers and believers in nurturing newly saved souls as living stones in God's spiritual house — each contributing to the diverse beauty of the Kingdom.
