Esther entered the king’s presence with wisdom, courage, and divine timing. She did not rush her moment. She waited, prayed, and then spoke truth that changed destiny. God hears the cry of His children — our prayers are answered on the basis of Christ’s blood, righteousness, and favour upon us.
What was meant for evil, God turned for good. Joy replaced mourning. Light replaced darkness. The city of Susa shouted and rejoiced. This is the God we serve — He specialises in turning tables, reversing decrees, and giving His people victory!
The very day the enemies of God’s people planned for their destruction became the day of their greatest victory! Mourning was turned into joy, fear fell upon their adversaries, and the Jews celebrated with feasting and gladness. What a beautiful picture of the victory we have today through Jesus Christ!
Nehemiah was an ordinary man who presented his heart to God in total surrender. Upon hearing that Jerusalem’s walls were broken down and its gates burned, he sat down, wept, mourned, fasted, and prayed for days. The same God who used him can use you and me mightily in these last days — if we will only give ourselves fully to Him.
Nehemiah was serving in a palace, yet his heart was not resting in comfort because his people were in ruin back home. His outward assignment did not cancel his inward burden. A burden from God is not meant to crush you, but to position you for action, prayer, and purpose.
God not only saves us by grace but also empowers us by grace to build, restore, and advance His kingdom together. Nehemiah 3 reveals the beauty of united labour, shared responsibility, and victorious collaboration. When God’s people unite in obedience, great restoration becomes possible.
No matter how fiercely the enemy opposes Kingdom work, our God fights for us and releases His exceeding grace to ensure victory. Nehemiah responded with powerful prayer, encouraged the people, positioned them strategically, and armed the workers so they could build with one hand while holding a weapon in the other.
While external enemies opposed the rebuilding work, an internal crisis arose among God’s people. Yet Nehemiah’s leadership reveals exceeding grace in action — he confronted injustice, demanded restitution, modelled sacrifice, and restored children to parents, lands and vineyards to rightful owners.
Around 445 BC, Nehemiah returned from Persia to rebuild Jerusalem’s ruined walls. Despite fierce opposition, the work was completed in just 52 days because God’s people prayed, worked together, and obeyed His Word. Through exceeding grace, victory came — and the same grace is available to you today.
